Made with our traditional construction methods and materials, the Rambler vellie is flexible, lightweight, and exceptionally wearable.

- Manufactured with a single layer of 2.2mm full grain leather.
- A steel shank between the insole board and sole offers extra support and stability.
- The traditional Vellie – South Africa’s most loved shoe.
- Thermoplastic toe puff and a heel stiffener for extra support.
- Insole board is secured to the upper with a double-stitched 2.2mm braided nylon cord.
- Sole is made from a genuine soft rubber compound offering extra comfort.
- This boot can be re-soled.
- STC last – This last has a 2E wide fit and offers a roomy and rounded toe box.
- Sole: FA (This sole is our lightweight comfort option and is designed for comfort and a sleeker look).

I have three pairs of jim green boots – the Numzaan, ARs and the Vellies in roughout.
While I love all of them, the Vellies are something special. The design is so perfectly balanced between ruggedness and comfort, refined looks and structure.
I love the aesthetic of Clarks Desert boots, but they are too flimsy and the crepe soles degrade very quickly. The Vellies add understated structure in the toe and heel, the shank adds rigidity, and the rubber sole is soft but hard wearing.
These are the perfect summer boot!
